The Card Concept #31

If you asked Tom about cupcakes, or cake for that matter... he'd say "it's all about the frosting!" Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the yummy Card Concept photo for challenge #31:

You won't find me reaching for the embossing paste very often, but this design just yearned for it.  Coupled with a bit of distress ink, and a gorgeous stencil from the generous Ms. Shery from her Stamplorations blog-post contest, I've fallen in love with it. Thanks again, Shery!

Thanks for stopping by... it truly makes my day! =]

Oh, Michele! This card is positively delicious! I love your embossing paste and embossed strip pf paper...gorgeous! (I'm not sure why I'm hesitant to try embossing paste...I've never used it, but you are making me at least consider it...)

Beautiful take on the inspiration. It is all about the frosting when looking, but all about the cake when eating!

What beautiful dimensional and softly coloured frosting! Did you add colour to your paste? They look yummy enough to eat!

So instead of frosting cupcakes, you frosted roses? Love the outcome, Michele.

My husband would agree with yours; in his view, a cupcake is simply the 'vehicle' for frosting (as pancakes are for maple syrup!). Your card: feast for the eyes! A marvelous showcase of your creativity with the stencil and paste! Delicious!

Wow! Michele, this is a stunner ... I don't generally do frosting at all (too sweet for me, love my cupcakes completely naked!), but yours is just gorgeous ... that tinted EP is amazing! Hugs, Anita :)

Gasp! This is stunning! The soft and elegant simplicity truly takes my breath away, while the three wee dynamic pops of blue had me falling of my chair! The flower petals seem to capture the swirl of the icing perfectly! Gorgeous, gorgeous card - so glad that you shared it with us at CCC!
